The Sox were held to just five hits Wednesday night, but five strong innings from Edlando Seco, a homer and two RBI from Kevin Rivers and Tyler Burgoon's first career save led the team to a 3-2 win over the Vancouver Canadians. Seco lowered his ERA to 2.48 in his third win.
Third baseman Kevin Mailloux, catcher Steven Baron and left-hander Anthony Fernandez have been selected to the 2010 Northwest League All-Star Team. Maiiloux leads the league in HR, Baron has thrown a Short-Season-high 34 base-stealers and Fernandez is 7-3 with a 2.79 ERA.
The AquaSox set a team record by winning their 45th game Monday night,sweeping the Eugene Emeralds by a final of 8-0. Chris Sorce pitched seven shutout innings to earn his eighth win and Kevin Mailloux, Steven Baron and Robbie Anston each had two RBI.
